We named this island "The Sanctuary" for good reason. The ancient oaks on our Intracoastal shoreline make this an idyllic setting for residents who appreciate rare natural beauty. From your driveway at The Sanctuary you're just four miles from I-95. First time visitors to Palm Coast are surprised to find that I-95, is just two miles west of A1A, the closest the Interstate comes to the ocean between Maine and Miami. This also means residents of The Sanctuary are within an hour's drive of Orlando, Jacksonvile, the Kennedy Space Center, world-class shopping, dining and attractions a dozen acute care hospitals and five commercial airports.
With water everywhere, this area is truly a boating and fishing paradise. With deep channels and only tall, fixed bridges that are few and far between, they call our part of Florida "Sailboat Country" for good reason. From your deep draft dock at The Sanctuary you're directly across the Intracoastal Waterway from the Hammock Dunes Marina, and just a few hundred yards from the "5 Bell" Palm Coast Marina.
Those residents of The Sanctuary who play golf have plenty of links to choose from. Right here in Palm Coast, five courses are open for public play, including three designed by legends Nicklaus, Player and Palmer. If tennis is your game try the world class Players Club offering 18 perfectly maintained courts and all three Grand Slam surfaces. Ten courts are illuminated for play until 10:00 pm. There's even a pool for a quick dip after a bracing match. The Atlantic Ocean is just minutes away along with shopping, schools, parks, and restaurants. Orlando and Jacksonville are just an hour away and Daytona Beach, 30 minutes away.
